JASON HIETT WINS FIRST OF THE SEASON AT TALLADEGA SHORT TRACK
Eastaboga, AL (August 13, 2011) – Jason Hiett passed Tim Busha with two laps to go to claim his first win of the 2011 season in Super Latemodel action at Talladega Short Track on Saturday Night.
Busha finished in the runner-up spot with Ross Martin rallying for third. Jason Wilson finished fourth with Danny Peoples rounding out the top five.
The always exciting Hot Shot division was awarded double features with Timmy Runfola picking up the first feature win and Nathan Baker winning the nightcap feature.
Dustin Stewart won the twenty-five lap Sportsman feature event over Joe Noojin in second and Adam Cummings thid.
Ryan King and Adam Gauldin swapped the lead several times, with King finally coming out on top in the twenty-lap Crate Latemodel feature event. Gauldin would finish in second with Jimmy Elkins third.
David Conner won the Open Wheel Modified feature event with Eric Smith in second and Lakeetha Skinner third.
Sam Hughes picked up his first win ever at Talladega Short Track in Thundercar action holding off Chris Yarbrough who finished second and Zach Shelton third.
Andy Davis picked up his sixteenth win of the season in Street Stock action on Saturday Night.
Talladega Short Track is back in action this Saturday Night August 20th featuring the Pro Dirt Latemodel Series in a 40-lap, $2,000 to win feature event.
