Tennessee SUPER SERIES Super Late Models Headline Thunderhill Raceway August 27th
Summertown, TN (08/21/2011)- The 2011 Tennessee SUPER SERIES super late models will headline the events at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, TN) on Saturday August 27, 2011 for a $3000 To-Win 40 lap event.
With only three races left on the Tenn. SUPER SERIES (TSS) schedule, this upcoming Saturday August 27th the TSS tour will make its second appearance at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tennessee) with a $3000 To-Win 40 lap event. On June 4th, 2011 the fifth event of series was held and Daniel Miller of Lynchburg, Tenn. took the victory in an exciting last lap pass for his third TSS victory. Also on August 27th will be support divisions seeing racing action that include: Limited Late models, openwheels, modified streets, street stock, mini stock and Openwheel mini mods.
After the first five of eight events, Daniel Miller of Lynchburg, Tenn. sits atop of the Tennessee SUPER SERIES points standing with 472 points. Miller is the only driver in the top-10 of the points that has victories in the series in the first five events, winning three events of five. Corey Posey of Petersburg, TN sits in second place with 426. Tony Morris rides third with 420 points. The rest of the top 10 in points goes Terry English 418, Mark Fields 406, Tanner English 382, Scott Cook 368, Mark Haddon 356, David Seibers 342, David Brannon 330 rounds out your top ten in the Tennessee SUPER SERIES points after the first five events.
Gates will open at 5 pm, drivers meeting at 6:45 pm, hot laps at 7 pm and racing will start at 7:30 pm. General Admission will be $15, $12 for Seniors, Pit Admission is $30 and Kids 12 and under Free.
