Huge crowd tonight at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee and a great field of racers. Cars are getting ready to hit the track for hotlaps shortly in tonight's Lucas Oil Late Model Series $10,000 to win 50 lapper. Jimmy Owens currently leads by 140 points over second place challenger Scott Bloomquist.

Landers nearly broke the track record of 12.004 with his lap of 12.180. Bloomquist went 12.190 seconds.

On a clear track McDowell going could get away but Owens stalked him in traffic.

At lap 40 the top-2 were side by side and on the next lap Owens used the low line to pin McDowell behind a slower car

Owens cleared the traffic and pulled away.

Blankenship almost nipped Bloomquist at the line for 5th.

Francis was 6th then Cook and Hill.

Anyone know where Francis finished?I believe 6th..right behind Blankenship. :cool:

It's amazing how much Owens and Bloomquist are dominating this series. Some of these other guys are having pretty good years, but Owens and Bloomquist are winning about every week. Owens now leads Bloomquist by 180 points.
