Does any one remember RAYBURN having them years ago ? If so how did they mount up ?

Top of pinion and had bar with spuds .usually run level now you could use slider clamp on tube,if you are hunting loose this is the ticket.

A right side chassis mounted panhard bar is less bite and drive than a left chassis mounted bar. This is why you only see right mounts on asphalt oval cars, they do not need to generate as much side bite as a dirt car.

If the track is real heavy and the car just will not rotate, this works well. Sure you could set it up for the dry slick. Why would you? You loose too much in my opinion.

I was told that CJ used a straight bar behind the rear end on the right side that went to the right frame rail years ago .Was told it would tighten the car up on entry . Has any one ever seen this ? thanks

Yes, it was mounted to the left rearend tube and ran across behind the rearend to the right side of the chassis. This is almost the exact same setup that is used on asphalt. It was good on the swing arm car when the track was tacky and fast. When the track started to slick off it did not work. I know of several Rayburn drivers that quit running them and started running J bars to get more sidebite.
Here are some pictures:

Was told it was about 12 to 15 inch long and went from right axle tube to right side of frame behind rear end .

The only ones I have ever seen were from left tube almost by the hub to the right frame. That is including some 83 - 85 model chassis.

One of the things that a std J bar on a 4 link car does that adds side bite is the rear end moves to the left when the car rolls into the corner. The J bar raises the chassis weight and moves it to the right over the right side tires. A short bar on the right like that would be sudden and would not work on a 4 link as I believe it would bind the chassis up and cause it to get loose by not allowing the rear end to move to the left.

I still have 87 rayburn cantilever car that does use a 15" RR mounted panhard. No adjustment on the frame side and only 1 on the rearend.
