Wendell Wallace Wins Again in CCSDS Action

Beebe, Arkansas (08/26/11) – All-time tour win leader, Wendell Wallace, scored his series best, fourth COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) win of the 2011 season by topping the $2,000-to-win event on Friday night at Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas).

An extremely racy surface greeted the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series competitors at the 1/4 mile oval on Friday night, and it was Brandon Smith, who topped heat race action to earn the JFR Graphics Pole Position for the feature with Wendell Wallace joining him on the front row.

With the green flag in the air Smith would lead the first lap with Wallace, Kyle Beard, Dewaine Hottinger, and Jon Mitchell nipping at his heels.(not a nice word)Smith would see Wallace shoot by him to take over the lead on the second lap, and it would be a lead that Wallace would never relinquish although he would see a late race challenge from Beard.(not a nice word)Kyle Beard would jump to the cushion late in the event as he made a serious dent in Wallace's advantage, but would fall three car lengths short at the checkered flag.(not a nice word)Following the lead duo across the line were Brandon Smith, Jon Kirby, and BJ Robinson.

The Rocket Chassis First Heat was won by Brandon Smith with Kyle Beard winning the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, while Wendell Wallace won the Woodco, Inc. Third Heat Race, and Jon Mitchell scored the win in the Racing Head Service Fourth Heat Race.

Curtis Cook was the recipient of the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award after mounting a great charge in the feature from the 22nd starting spot to a 6th place finish.
The Quarter Master Hard Luck Award went to Johnny Virden, who saw his night end in hot laps with mechanical woes.

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series roll into Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri) on Saturday night, August 27th in a $2,000-to-win/$400-to-start event, which will mark their final appearance of 2011 at the facility. More information on the events can be found at www.MaldenSpeedway.com .
