The Outlaws are Coming! The Outlaws are Coming!
Local Drivers have $500 extra reasons to defend “The Knob!”
WoO LMS Work Force 50 just a week away!

August 28, 2011 (Markleysburg, PA) After a weekend off from the road, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series has a big weekend ahead as they return to action this Saturday at Tyler County for the Black Diamond 125 and Sunday at Roaring Knob for the Work Force 50!

The $10,000-to-win Work Force 50 will mark the series debut at the 3/8 mile oval at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA near the PA/MD border along Route 40; southeast of Uniontown. Roaring Knob has become a hot bed for Super Late Model racing and next Sunday’s Work Force 50 promises to be another sensational show that fans have come to expect from the World of Outlaws.

Outlaws points leader Rick Eckert and Two-Time Defending Series Champion Josh Richards, currently second in points trailing Eckert by just 28 markers, will both be a short distance from home. Winning a race so close to home and so near the end of the season, will be a big boost towards chase for the 2011 Series Championship.

Bear Lake, PA driver Chub Frank is fifth in World of Outlaws points and coming off a big win at Lernerville Speedway this weekend. “Chubzilla” will certainly be a favorite to take the checkers at Roaring Knob!

To encourage local drivers to support the Work Force 50 at Roaring Knob on Sunday, September 4, Race Won Promotions has posted a $500 bonus for the top non-Outlaw finisher. Regional stars like Jason Covert, Gregg Satterlee, Jared Miley, and Jared & Jacob Hawkins are certainly capable of not only a solid top ten or top five finish, but of taking home the $10,000 winner’s share of the purse. Having experience at the unique layout of the 3/8 mile Markleysburg oval will help level the playing field against the best Late Model drivers in the country.

The Roaring Knob FASTRAK Late Models weekly series will also be in action with $1,000 on the line to the feature winner.

Tickets for the Work Force 50 featuring the World of Outlaws Late Model Series are $30 for general admission and kids 10 & under are admitted free of charge with a paying adult. Gates open at 5:00 with Time Trials scheduled for 7:00, followed by racing at 7:30.
