and 70 sereis and taller,,NO 65, 60, 55, 50 series tires allowed.

thanks.

i did look at the GT Champiro tires last night that a independent tire store had in stock,,,and they were 360 AA UTOG...but he had these tires in stock for quite a while...I am going to find out if the NEW stock in the distributors's wherhouse is the same UTOG or if they too have been UPDATED/changed to a higher/bigger UTOG number.

also, the sumitomos, which are no longer available, have 3 big gooves and the champiros have 4 ( more grooves = less tread)

Pep Boys has 195/70/ 14 Cornell 1000 tires with a 300 UTQG wear rating for about $260 (4). No other tire even comes close to 300 wear rating in that size,,,GT GT Champiros are 360 and everthing else is over 400.

I run 195/70/14s on my mustang, had good luck with Nexen SB702. About $50 each. Also found 2 like new tires in the junkyard, say SA4 on them (no idea who makes them), good tread pattern for dirt IMO.

if the hoosier dirt bozz is allowed you won't want to run any other tire on dirt. some tracks won't allow them.
