Richmond Raceway Season Championships this Saturday, September 17; Double Points in all Classes!
RICHMOND, KY (September 12, 2011)-With just two events left in the 2011 season, Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are ready to present another exciting night of racing this Saturday, September 17.
This will be the FINAL point’s event of the 2011 season. Each division champion will be announced upon completion of the audit within 2-3 days after Saturday night’s event. A full program of racing is on tap for Saturday, September 17 with Double Points in ALL classes.
Current track championship point leaders heading into the September 17 event include Aaron Hatton of Mount Sterling, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, John Cole of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, Glen Hounshell, Sr. of Berea, KY in the Road Hogs, and Nathaniel Harrison of Somerset, KY in the Four Cylinders.
For Saturday, September 17 the pit area opens at 5:00 p.m. followed by the grandstand area at 6:00 p.m. with Hot Laps slated for 7:00 p.m. Grandstand Admission is $12 for adults and $3 for kids ages 6 through 12. Pit Admission is $25 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6 through 12. Kids ages 5 and under are admitted FREE to Richmond Raceway.
The 2011 Championship Awards Banquet will be held at Gillum’s Sports Lounge in Richmond on Saturday night, November 5, 2011 at a time to be determined in the near future. Pre-Sale tickets will be available for purchase on Saturday, September 17 and Saturday, September 24 at the track. Pre-Sale tickets will ONLY be available on these two dates, after September 24 tickets will only be available for purchase at the door on the night of the banquet. Pre-Sale tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for kids ages 9 and under. Tickets purchased at the door will be $25 for adults and $15 for kids ages 9 and under.
