Ross Camponovo Claims First Win of 2011; Bama Brawl Up Next
Clarksdale, Mississippi (09/13/11) – Ross Camponovo was successful in his efforts to claim his first win of the year on Saturday night as he powered #18 Camponovo Farms/Rocket/RPM Racing Engine Super Late Model to the victory at Greenville Speedway.
Saturday night was a great outing for the team as Ross raced his way to his first feature win of the 2011 season by topping the action at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi). In time trials, Camponovo qualified third fastest, which resulted in him starting second in his heat race. After battling to his heat race win, Ross would start on the pole for the feature event with Bo Gordon starting alongside him. As the race went green Camponovo would quickly work his way to the top spot and would go on to claim the feature win over Gordon, Mike Palasini Jr., Jeff Young, and Chad Washington.
