i am attempting to purchase a used 602. everything looks clean and it runs fine. did cyl leak test tested 6% leak better than expected. onlt thing im worried about are correct sealing bolts. where are they supposed to be? where do i look for them at on motor. any specific hole in manifold do they come all in different holes. timing cover? oil pan? heads? maniflod? and want to make sure in correct hole . thanks for the help.

2 in intake 2 in each head 2 in timing cover and 2 in oil pan not really spacific on location,,, they are break away bolts,,, hope this helps

They come with 8 bolts in them. One in each head, One in each front corner of the intake, two in the timing cover and two in the oil pan. They are always in the same location.

How many nights are on it? Are you doing the leak down hot or cold? Piston at TDC or BDC?

If its warm/hot and at BDC 6% is not very good.

How much are they asking for it? Eric

Might want to spend the extra cash and buy a new one. The new 602's have pistons that are 80-90 grams lighter EACH and have thinner rings for less drag. Less drag, less weight = more HP. Chris Knight at City Chevrolet in Charlotte NC can get you straight on how to tell if you are buying a new version from your local dealer by the build date on the engine tag....or just buy it directly from them.
