Kyle Beard Overcomes Adversity at NAS; Magnolia State 100 Next

Trumann, AR (09/21/11) – Despite mechanical woes after time trials Kyle Beard unloaded a backup car and raced his way from the back of the pack to a top ten finish in the 7th Annual Bama Brawl at North Alabama Speedway in his #86 Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Kyle made the trip to North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Alabama) on Saturday night for the 7th Annual Bama Brawl, which posted a $4,000-to-win/$400-to-start purse for the 40 lap feature event. With 29 cars entered, the night would seem to start well for Beard as he qualified fourth fastest in his group to lock into the eighth starting spot for the feature. However, prior to the feature the team would discover a possible valve spring issue. As a result, they were forced to unload their backup car, which resulted in them having to forfeit their starting spot to start last in the feature.

During the course of the feature, Kyle would amazingly enjoy a strong run in a car that had not even been hot lapped. He would race his way from the 22nd starting spot to a 10th place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.NorthAlabamaSpeedway.com.

This weekend, September 22nd-24th, the team will travel to "The Baddest Bullring in the South" as they enter the 22nd Annual Magnolia State 100 at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). In 2010 Kyle opened a lot of eyes as he overcame a DNF in his heat due to a flat tire to start on the back of a b-main before racing his way forward to claim the final transfer spot to the feature in the last chance qualifier. He went on to race his way from the 26th starting position to record an 8th place finish. This year he will look to improve on the finish. The event gets underway with an Open Practice Session on Thursday night before seeing time trials and heat race action contested on Friday night, while b-mains, the last chance qualifier, and the 100 lap finale will be held on Saturday night.
