The Dirt Late Model SUPER NATIONALS that were orignally scheduled for Labor Day weekend has been rescheduled for this saturday night the 24th. During that labor day, the Friday portion of the event did happen crowning Chris Madden the winner of the ULTIMATE super late model race with David Smith winning the FASTRAK late model event. Unfortunately mother nature won the saturday events.
This event has now taken on a whole new meaning with a LOT more importance than it started with. Chip Brindle has now taken over the point lead in the ULTIMATE Super Late Model series but only by a mere 10 points. Casey Roberts won the last event, but Brindle took over the point lead.
David Smith won the previous event at Wythe but had a terrible night at Cleveland County Speedway coming into this weekend. Brandon Umberger was only 1 point behind going into CCS last weekend but now hes taken the lead from Smith and but only by a few points. Man this is HEATING UP!
Its also the last event of 2011 for Wythe raceway. Wyhte known as the best kept secret in dirt racing is not so little known now. Making its way into the limelight it has become a drivers and fans favorite from people all over the United States. It no doubt the super speedway everyone talks about but also one track you can run 3 and 4 wide in the corners.
Race fans, you might want to bring your chairs, bring your motorhomes (free camping), bring your family, bring your friends and do whatever it takes to get there because this event just got 10 times more important than it was before. Championships to be decided, races to be won and the LAST FASTRAK TOUR event of the 2011 season.
