it depends on what chassis it is, standard, offset, or fry.
measure from the inside of the 2x2 tube on frame that p bar mount bolts to to the c/L of drive shaft
std. 15 5/8
offset 14 5/8
fry 16 5/8
these measurements are with car at ride hights
I measure mine from 2x2 to edge of dr shaft, shaft is 3" so I -1 1/2" and use that.
14" 15" or 16". then just measure from right side of rearend over to underslung bar.
rearend to underslung, easier to do when your in hurry.
PM me if you have more questions. There are other things that will help also.

Hate saying this but Chumba gave you the wrong dimensions for that year of car, I'm sure it was an oversight but the ride heights are not correct for that year of GRT.

Go here: http://www.teamgrt.com/2010_LATE_MODEL_STANDARD_CAR_SETUP_SHEET.pdf

Scoll down to the 2007 and older cars

99 was the first year for the 4.25 rear ride heights, some early 99's may still have the 3" rear. The easy way to tell is the 3" is a 1.5 tubing undersling and they run uphill as they go back. The 4.25" is 1.25 tube and run level with the main frame rails.
