STICK ELLIOTT MEMORIAL $4000 TO WIN

Gaffney, SC- The Stick Elliott Memorial is next on the ULTIMATE Super Late Model series schedule. This Saturday Oct 1, Ultimate teams vie for the $4000 to winner’s paycheck and honor the memory of a local and regional legend. Stick Elliott was such a force in dirt racing that NASCAR drivers meetings would sometimes be held up while one driver would explain what Stick did the night before at a local dirt track. The Cleveland County NC native is honored and remembered each year at Cherokee Speedway.

Chip Brindle is clinging to a small 10 pt lead in the Ultimate Points season long championship battle. Casey Roberts, 5 time defending champion of the SASE series and the winner of the Hall of Fame 50 two weeks ago is looking to overtake the rookie. Chris Ferguson is sitting only 14 points back of Brindle. These three have battled it out all year. They will be joined at Cherokee Speedway by Jonathon “Superman” Davenport, Chris “Smokey” Madden, Ricky Weeks, Ross Bailes, Jeff Smith, Dennis “Rambo” Franklin, Zack Mitchell, Daniel Baggerly, Donald Bradsher and a host of other drivers from throughout the region.

Again this year, the ULTIMATE series will have a “Pink Atmosphere” as officials along with drivers, cars, track staff and fans will be wearing pink to remind everyone of Breast Cancer Awareness. Too many have been touched by this disease. Show your support for all of those this disease has affected. Wear pink, wear a ribbon, make a sign but most of importantly, and be at Cherokee Speedway this Saturday night for the Stick Elliott Memorial. Gates open at 5pm with drivers meetings at 7pm. Hot Laps and racing will immediately follow.

Partners of the Ultimate Series include HOOSIER Racing Tires, VP Fuel, NOS Energy Drinks, Shell Racing Solutions, City Chevrolet, Vicci Apparel, Big A’s Custom Graphics and Thomas Clarke Performance
