CARTERSVILLE, GA – Two Greenville Speedway drivers have stepped up to the plate to raise money for the local chapter of the American Cancer Society at the Delta Nationals on October 7 and 8 for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS. John Polasini Racing has donated a Fan Pack and Brent Barrett will be a Ride For Life driver.
John Polasini of Leland, MS, his family and crew have put together a Fan Pack valued at over $200. Race fans can purchase tickets for a chance to Fan Pack for $5 a ticket and there will be a drawing at intermission at Greenville Speedway on October 8 to determine the winner.
“Me and my family wanted to do something to help out the local chapter of the American Cancer Society at the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series race at Greenville Speedway on October 7 and 8, so we put together the Fan Pack,” Polasini said. “We’ve got a big cooler and filled it full of racing items that include a checkered flag throw blanket, a car tag and two stadium seats that we will personalize for the winner, two tickets to the Gumbo Nationals on November 3-5 at Greenville Speedway, several driver T-Shirts, key chains and cup holders. The person with the winning ticket takes all of it.”
The tickets will be sold at Greenville Speedway on October 7-8 at Greenville Speedway, or they can E-mail John Polasini at john.polasini@yahoo.com. Polasini said people interested in selling the $5 tickets can also E-mail him.
Brent Barrett of Cleveland, MS has been added as the seventh “Ride For Life” driver of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series two-seat dirt late model and joins Duke Palasini of Leland, MS, Bobby Jordan of McCarley, MS, Johnny Stokes of Columbus, MS, Mark Tice of Avon, MS, Dan Breuer of Troutman, NC, and Bubba Harrison of Cleveland, MS as Ride For Life drivers.
Race fans will be able to bid on an opportunity to take ride with one of these seven drivers at race speed in the two-seat dirt late model race car around the Greenville Speedway ¼-mile gumbo clay oval during an auction at intermission on October 8. The highest bidder for each driver will take the six-lap “Ride For Life.”
Fans can also purchase tickets at Greenville Speedway on October 7 and October 8 for a drawing where the winner will also take the Ride For Life. All of the proceeds from the Ride For Life auction, tickets sales, and tickets for the Fan Pack will go to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will be at Greenville Speedway for two complete shows on October 7 and October 8 for the Delta Nationals. On Friday night, October 7 it will be the $2,000-to-win Delta Nationals 40, and on Saturday night, October 8 it’s the $2,500-to-win Delta Nationals 50, Rounds 12 and 13 of the 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series season.
