The $7,000 “ROAR” Rumbles through the Mountains Oct 6-7-8 at Roaring Knob!
(Mars, PA) - The Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex will present its biggest Super Late Model event of the 2nd half of the season on October 6-7-8. The UFo “ROAR” and “Spectacular FallFest” will showcase 2 separate Super Late Model programs with $7,000 total paid to the feature winners.
Roaring Knob has become renown for excellent track prep and exciting side-by side racing. The UFo “ROAR” will see the best Super Late Model drivers of the region invade the 3/8 mile short track in their quest to carry away the top prize money. Roaring Knob’s mountain and lake location provides the perfect location for this major fall event.
All cars will be able to practice on Thursday, October 6 in an open track test. On Friday night, October 7, the “Night Flight 2 Mars” will feature the Super Late Models in a complete non-point event paying $2,000 to win for the 35-lap feature race. FASTRAK NE Tour Pro-Lates will compete in their qualifying heat races, while the Street Stocks and Roadrunners will run their full program. Jeremy Miller of Littlestown, PA won the “Night Flight” in 2010.
The UFo “ROAR” on Saturday Night, October 8 will be the “most ferocious 55 feature laps ever run!” The UFo Super Late Models will shake the earth, racing for $5,000 in a full program with a 55-lap feature. The FASTRAK NE Tour Pro-Lates will run consolations and “Spectacular FallFest” championship feature paying $2,000 to win along with a non-qualifiers race. E-mods will compete in their “Spectacular FallFest” championship full racing program paying $750 to win based on a 24-car field. Chargers will also race with heats and features. Jason Covert won a thrilling, mutli-lead change race at this event in 2010.
On Thursday, October 6 at Roaring Knob pit gates open at 5:00 with grandstands at 6:00. Practice will go from 7:00 to 9:30. Pit admission is $20 with free grandstand admission. On Friday, October 7, pit gates open at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00 with warm-ups at 6:15 and racing at 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission is $16 with children 10 and under admitted free. All pit tickets are $30. On Saturday, October 8 pit gates open at 2:00, grandstands at 3:00 with warm-ups at 6:15 and racing at 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission is $25 with children 10 and under free. All pit tickets are $40. Camping is free at Roaring Knob. Please note that Saturday ticket pricing has been adjusted.

The UFo Race Championship is an event marketing alliance among independent supertracks in the PA-WV-MD region. Participating speedways presents their own championship Super Late Model events under the UFo banner throughout the season using common tech and procedure rules with a year-end, group funded, point bonus for the top finishing drivers on the tour. Eligible tracks are within the 3 hour travel distance of the central point of Washington, PA.
