FASTRAK GRAND NATIONALS Set to be Televised in 2012

Carnesville, Georgia - FASTRAK Racing Series Founder and CEO Stan Lester announced today that the final 2 nights of the 2012 FASTRAK GRAND NATIONALS will be televised nationally. "We have been working on this for quite some time now. We have hit a few snags here and there but we can finally announce that we will be televising those final two nights next year." Lester said. The 2 one-hour shows will be tape-delayed and will include pit road interviews, in-car cameras and play-by-play action. There will be value-priced commercial opportunities available to interested sponsors as well. "The possibilities are limitless with this deal. It's just the tip of the iceberg." Lester said.

While details are still limited Lester confirmed that the production company was in negotiations with "a few" different national networks to air the program. "We have the deal done on the production side and we are really close on the network. One way or the other the GRAND NATIONALS will be on television in 2012. I am proud of finally getting this deal done. We have been talking about it for going on 5 years now and it sure feels good to have it inked. I think it will be a great deal for the guys who racing with FASTRAK. It really helps all the City Chevrolet Weekly Racing Division tracks as well as all of the touring regions. It gives them yet another perk to offer to their racers." Lester added.More details will be released as they are finalized.

Meanwhile 163 different drivers from all across the country have met all the eligibility requirements for the 2011 edition of the $250,000 FASTRAK GRAND NATIONALS and have been invited to participate in the World’s Largest Grassroots Racing Championship. Drivers from 13 US States and 1 Canadian Province will compete during the month of October for a share of the $250,000 GRAND NATIONALS Championship. One driver will leave Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Sunday morning, October 23rd with $30,000 in their pocket and the title FASTRAK GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPION.

Both Brandon Umberger and Max Blair will enter the month of October riding the momentum generated with their individual FASTRAK Touring Series Championships already under their belts. Umberger picked up his first career FASTRAK Southeast / Mid-East Touring Championship while Blair repeated as both the Northeast Touring Series and City Chevrolet Weekly Racing Division Champion.

These two will surely be among the favorites but there are 161 other drivers who could just as easily take home that $30,000 check. All drivers will begin the GRAND NATIONAL Regional events with ZERO points. After Night #1 in their individual regions, the best of the best in Pro Late Model competition will converge on Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee for a two-day / two-event shootout to determine the final standings.

THE FASTRAK Racing Series is based on the GM Performance Parts Crate Engine Program utilizing both their 602 and 604 engine models. All teams utilize Hoosier Racing Tire as the “spec tire” brand of the FASTRAK Racing Series. The combination of these two programs gives a Dirt Late Model Race Team a tremendous savings on their engine and tire expense. The National Championship of the FASTRAK Racing Series is one of the largest in the entire world. The FASTRAK Racing Series is in its 9th year of operation and competes across the United States in 6 different regions.
