Kent Robinson Takes Top Ten at Eldora; DTWC at KC Raceway Next
Bloomington, Indiana (10/12/11) – Kent Robinson took his #7r JB's Salvage/Mastersbilt/Jay (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ens Racing Super Late Model into battle over the weekend in the annual UMP Fall Nationals at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio), and he came away with a top ten finish to show for his efforts.
Kent traveled to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) over the weekend for the annual Fall Nationals. With 50 Super Late Models entered, Kent started fourth in his heat race before advancing to a second place finish to lock into the eighth starting spot for the 40 lap, $5,000-to-win feature. He would battle in the top ten for the duration of the feature before ultimately crossing the finish line in the 7th position. Full results are available at www.EldoraSpeedway.com.
This weekend, October 14th-15th, Robinson will sink his teeth into his first ever venture into another crown jewel in the Super Late Model world as he looks to tackle the 31st Annual U.S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship at KC Raceway (Chillicothe, Ohio). The $50,000-to-win/$2,000-to-start event is one of the most storied in the history of dirt track racing, and despite employing the use of different tracks during the course of its life, its prestige has remained prominent. The weekend opens on Friday with time trials and heat race action, while Saturday's program will be headlined by b-mains, and the 100 lap finale.
