View Full Version : The C103 Championship Racing Series to broadcast the DTWC

Waverly, OH: Race fans in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky who may not be able to attend the 31st Annual U.S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship presented by Sunoco October 14-16 will be able to tune in to the high intensity racing action of the prestigious crown jewel event being promoted by Carl Short at Schrader’s KC Raceway near Waverly, OH. The winner of the DTWC will collect $50,000.

The live broadcast will air starting on Friday evening beginning at 9:00 PM EST with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Heat Races on C103 Country 103.1FM. On Saturday the broadcast will move to their sister station WAOL 99.5FM starting at 7:00PM with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series B-Mains, the 30 lap Modified A-Main, and the 100 lap DTWC.

"It’s a thrill to partner with Carl Short and the 2011 Dirt Track World Championship for the first time," stated show co-host Kyle Wainscott of the C103 Championship Racing Series. "They have been a joy to work with in every capacity. This form of racing deserves to be exposed to all race fans, and we are excited to do that."

Joining Kyle on the microphones will be the shows host Ken Smith. Ken is a veteran in the radio business working as the stations sales manager, and sports broadcaster. Ken started broadcasting local dirt track races in 2001. Kyle started as the announcer for the Brown County Speedway in 2001 until the track closed in 2008. Kyle then joined Ken full time as the co-host of the C103 Championship Racing Series.

Ticket prices for the DTWC will be $50 for adult 3 day general admission, $15 children general admission ages 6-11 with children under age six admitted free for general admission. Three-day pit passes will be $60.

The 31st Annual U.S. Steel Dirt Track World Championship presented by Sunoco kicks off on Thursday evening October 13th with Qualifying, Heat Races and consolation races to set the starting grid for the Modifieds. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and heat races will be held on Friday evening October 14th, with the consolation races, The Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers race, the Modified 30 Lap Feature and the 100-lap Dirt Track World Championship to be held on Saturday evening October 15th. Sunday October 16th will serve as the rain date.
