Marlar, Bailey, Decker, and Adams Victorious at Lake Cumberland Speedway

Burnside, KY-October 15, 2011- Lake Cumberland Speedway would again be in action on Saturday evening and feature event winners would include Skylar Marlar of Winfield, TN in Super Late Models, Tommy Bailey of Corbin, KY in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stocks, and Johnnie Adams of Somerset, KY in Front Wheel Drives.

The Super Late Model feature would see Skylar Marlar and Johnny Wheeler trade the lead back and forth in the first five laps of the 25 lap sprint, with Marlar taking the lead back on lap 5. The battle would again on lap 11 when the lead duo entered heavy traffic. On lap 14 as the leaders entered turn three, a tangle among slower traffic would see six cars be involved, including leader Marlar, third place Dillan White, and fourth place Tyrel Todd. Track officials determined the slower traffic incident was the cause of the caution, so Marlar was placed back in front and White in third, while Todd would be done for the night. The final 11 laps would see Marlar pull away from Wheeler and take the race win aboard the Billy and Jeanne Todd owned Todd Truss/Todd Metals/Pulaski Steel sponsored #14M MasterSbilt Race Car, Todd Race Engine powered mount. Wheeler would take second, with White finishing third. Michael Asberry and Joey Daniel would complete the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Danny Hatcher, Jeff Rawlings, Greg Hansford, Dennis Barton, and Steve Elliott. Nineteen entries would see White be top qualifier at 13.085 seconds, while heat wins went to Rod Carter, Jr., Johnny Wheeler, and Skylar Marlar.

The 20 lap Modified feature would be a caution plagued event that saw Ricky Arms lead the first 10 laps before getting caught up in an incident on a restart that would end his night. This would hand the race lead over to Tommy Bailey and Bailey would hold off the charges of Mikah Reams to grab the feature win aboard the Kenneth and Matthew Jordan owned Mac-Track Transport/South Spread Farms/Lancaster Express Oil and Lube/Lakeside Towing/Wayne Bowen Racing Supply/Cox Wrecker Service/Jordan Mobility/TSM Shocks sponsored #17J Lightning Chassis, GCP Race Engines powered entry. Reams would take second, with Scotty Kincaid claiming third. The remainder of the top five would be Ben Petrey and Mike Petrey. Rounding out the top ten would be Lonnie Gregory, Robert Houchens, Josh Coffey, Matthew Colston, and Brad Schlosser. Twenty-two entries would see Bailey also set quick time at 14.141 seconds, with heat race wins going to Bailey, Arms, and Tommy Gregory.

Keith Decker would fend off the challenges of Tyler Cain to grab his second straight Super Dirt Stock feature event victory in the seat of his unsponsored #2 race car. Cain would finish second, while Chad Spradlin would score a third place finish. Doodle Farris and Rusty Hulett would complete the top five. Nine entries would see Decker be the top qualifier 15.380 seconds, with Decker making it a clean sweep for the night by also take the heat race victory.

Johnnie Adams would be declared the winner of the Front Wheel Drive feature event after Adam Gregory was disqualified for aggressive driving in the late stages of the Front Wheel Drive main event. Adams claimed the win behind the wheel of his Barron Cabinets sponsored #7. Buster Goforth, Neal Daulton, Blake Gregory, and James Petrey would finish second through fifth among the six entries in the division.
