After 52 races in The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care Matt Hamilton leads John Rhoades by one point going into the final race this weekend. The Florence Speedway Fall 50 is this Saturday Night and is the last chance for drivers to score points. On one side Hamilton has the clear advantage going into this weekend as he is the 2 time defending track champion at Florence Speedway and also would hold the advantage if Mother Nature wipes out the racing. Also John Weasel Rhoades destroyed his primary ride, That he had scored 9 CMC wins with at all 4 tracks. That appeared to be only a minor setback as the next race he would jump in the Donnie Adams Lightning House car to score his 10th CMC win of the year at Lawrenceburg. Since then though, Weasel has driven many different cars but has not added to his CMC point total. On the other hand some may feel Weasel has a good chance of claiming the CMC championship this weekend at Florence as he is the defending champion of this very race. Weasel bested 36 drivers a year ago including Matt Hamilton who struggled early but came through the B- Main to finish 8th in the feature. Both drivers carry a 62 as their next throw out score so we have listed most of the possibilities to add to their score based on car counts.
