Bub McCool Closes Season with $7,000 Payday in Gumbo Nationals

Vicksburg, MS (11/08/11) –Bub McCool closed his 2011 campaign in a big way over the weekend by powering his #57J McCool Logging/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ens Racing Engine Super Late Model to his biggest win of the season, which was a $7,000 payday in the 5th Annual Gumbo Nationals.

Bub McCool concluded his 2011 season over the weekend as he claimed the biggest win of the year in the $7,000-to-win, Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, MS), which was sanctioned by the PRO Dirt Car Series Super Late Model tour. Thirty-five Super Late Models entered the event, and action began on Friday night as Bub set fast time in his group and overall to earn the pole position for the first heat race. He would storm to the heat win to earn the pole starting spot for Saturday night's $7,000-to-win, 70 lap finale. Bub was joined on the front row by Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, and as the race went green McCool jumped to the lead. He would endure a few early race cautions before the feature saw the event's final 52 laps go caution free. Bub would drive away from second place runner, Jack Sullivan, but the going would be far from easy as he had to endure heavy lapped traffic for the remainder of the event. McCool would survive a few close calls to claim the win over Jack Sullivan, Kyle Pleasant, Rodney Wing, and Ross Camponovo. The win was his third of the season as he celebrated in front of an enthusiastic crowd and gave a young fan his helmet. Full results are available at www.PRODirtCarSeries.com.

Bub's 2011 season is now complete, and he is already preparing for the 2012 campaign, which will begin during the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) in January 2012.
