Hubbard, Logan and Edwards Using Speedweeks to Build for 2012

Seaford, Delaware (12/12/11) With silly season drawing to an end, Super Late Model driver, Austin Hubbard, has officially inked his deal for the 2012 campaign as veteran, team owner, Tim Logan of Cattlesburg, Kentucky will lead him into the 2012 Speedweeks.

Hubbard notes, "Running our family program for another 80 race season, as we did in 2009, is hard on our family and business, so I'm excited to be driving for Tim Logan. My family consists of farmers and truckers," Hubbard says with a laugh. "Tim Logan's family consists of racers. Racing is Tim's business as he is a chassis and a part's dealer, who has a loyal following. This is a perfect fit for me. Driving for a car owner that works on race cars will definitely be fun. I am confident this deal will work out for the whole season, but we've all initially agreed to run 15-20 races to test the water and then go from there."

Over the last three years Hubbard has raced almost 250 shows with crew chief, Robby Allen, by his side, but that will change for the 2012 campaign as Allen assumes a position with another team, and Hubbard welcomes new crew chief, Randall Edwards.

Austin notes, "Robby is family to me, and we will always be close friends. He wanted a break from the national grind and wants to be home with his wife and kids more, and I can definitely understand that. Robby now has a deal that is going to make his ideal situation happen, and we are both happy for each other's 2012 plans. Working with Tim, Randall and Nick (Hoover) will be great also. Tim always fields great cars and has always kept (Steve) Francis fast, whenever he has driven the team's cars. Randall (former Darrell Lanigan' crew chief), and I have pitted next to each other probably over hundred times. We already have a great working relationship, and Nick (Hubbard's former Beitler crewman and roommate) will be there working hard as always. I can't think of a better group of guys to hit the road with for 2012."

In regards to preparing for the 2012 campaign, Austin comments, "Nick and I are getting my shop and equipment ready in Delaware as a backup plan, and then we are going to head down to Kentucky in a couple of weeks to help Tim get ready to start the season. Randall is splitting his time with Texas' driver, Morgan Bagley, and our team. I'm looking forward to pitting with Morgan at the events they run. He did a great job at Charlotte and I think Randall has a great plan for both of us in 2012."

As far as his plans for the 2012 season, Hubbard says, "Like I said at PRI a few weeks ago, I am running the whole Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) tour in a black #11 and will be competing for Rookie of the Year Honors. Running for Rookie of the Year against drivers like Jonathan Davenport is going to be a tall order, and I can only promise that I'm going to give it everything that I have on and off the track. I know it takes great people and equipment and that's what I think we have put together with this team."

Hubbard concludes by saying that "I can only do this because of great supporters such as Trinity Transport, Virginia Motor Speedway, Salisbury Door and Hardware, Campbell's Collision, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, Sunoco Fuel, and Schaeffer Oil. Tim and I are currently working out the rest of our sponsors and product supporters as we look forward to new and old relationships."
