Which is better in everyones opinions? Ive been using steel the last few years due to having a few aluminum ones break. But I have bent some spindles at the steering arm and Im wondering if the steel ones are to blame??

We like the aluminum hex shaped tubes from PPM. Light weight, yet the hex shape dont let them bend easy. However they will give before a spindle does.

I like the aluminum hex myself. I also use lots of anti seize on them too.

I have bent spindles at the steering arm with aluminum tubes. It can still happen if the wheel is turned outward from an impact where tension is placed on the tierod instead of compression force.

Like wise...We use aluminum tie rods with aluminum heims and have bent spindles....
