Billy Moyer Racing Starts 2012 Season this Weekend in Arizona!
(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Fresh off an impressive fourteen win season in 2011, Billy Moyer is scheduled to open up his 2012 campaign this weekend at the USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona! The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will be kicking off their third straight year in Tucson with the ‘Wild West Shootout’ from January 14-22. This year’s version of the six-race miniseries will feature four $3,000 to win events, one $5,000 to win program, and a $10,000 to win finale on Sunday, January 22.
Billy has been quite a force in his last two trips out west to the USA Raceway and hopes that 2012 will be no different. In the twelve feature events held the past two seasons, Billy has racked up an incredible six victories and ten Top Five performances. In fact, his worst finish the past two seasons in Tucson was a seventh place effort back in 2010. The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer will look to add to those phenomenal numbers when the ‘Wild West Shootout’ kicks off this Friday night with an open practice session. “We have had some success out in Tucson the past couple of years, but that doesn’t guarantee you anything when it comes to this season,” stated Moyer recently. “It sounds like there will be a pretty good group of cars out there this year, so we will have to be on top of our game. Hopefully, we can get our own car and our customer’s cars up to speed quickly and we can all enjoy some success to start the season!”
