Looking for opinions on head gaskets, I have stock felpro gaskets now on our 350 sbc, a compression test is at 150 lbs, our rules will allow 180 max, I was thinking about using a thinner gasket to raise the compression,is it possible by using thinner gaskets? we have 76 cc heads and block is not decked with 4 eyebrow flat top pistions, what is worth the money and what will it raise my compression to?

If surfaces are true and smooth, run the felpro shim gaskets (.019" IIRC), about $15-20 a piece. That would increase compression .4:1. It's worth it.

Look into the Ferrea's, available from Race Engineering, amongst others......
