Franklin, North Carolina (02/17/12) – With the "Georgia Winter Nationals" coming up on March,9th~10th~11th, Presented By the Fastrak Racing Series & the Toccoa Speedway, continuing to draw near, the Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series has announced that the (GM CT525) will be legal for the "2012' race season. (However) we will not be allowing the use of the (GM CT525) engine in this event. Series "CEO" & Director, Randy McCoy also stated, “Due to the technical knowledge and tools required to monitor the accuracy of these motors, this is why we have decided to not allow the CT525 in this event We apologize for any inconveniences that this ruling may cause, and we look forward to seeing all competitors in action during the upcoming "Winter Nationals.”

The Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series will be allowing (2) engines for use by the series other than the Steel Head engines normally used by series followers. The (Ford SW374) and the GM CT525 will be the only other two.

The series will determine weight and weight distribution to put these engines on the same level as the traditional series Steel head engine. This is a new venture for the series and with everyones support, we believe these additions to the series will help us proceed in the direction we want to go.
