THE BEAST ROARS TO LIFE
With the 2012 racing season quickly approaching, the announcement has been made of the newest Super Late Model Series. :B.E.A.S.T:

The Idea
The series was born from fusing the former Southern All Stars East and the Carolina Clash South divisions. These 2 series raced at different tracks, featured different drivers, and utilized different tire rules. The powers that be met and decided that best idea was to combine the 2 series. YES ONLY 1 TIRE RULE (2 tire brands) “In the years past, the push for this from drivers, fans and promoters has been overwhelming, and we think it can be a huge step in the right direction for the sport” stated series director Timmy Mcabee. “The idea behind the logic is to keep it as cost effective as possible for everyone involved. This means less traveling for drivers, series and the fans” Mcabee added.

Timmy Mcabee and Clint Elkins are heading up a charge for the upstart series in 2012. “No doubt there will be challenges ahead, but we are up to the task, and foresee this as an excellent opportunity to grow” said Clint Elkins. Elkins who is well established in the sport is looking at the big picture. “This series is one that can grow, and it can grow at a very rapid rate.” stated Elkins.

The BEAST in 2012
2012 will be an upstart year, and will consist of 10 (planned) championship races. The intent is to keep drivers and fans closer to home for 2012. The BEAST will utilize a tire rule that has not been used on a local basis in some time in an effort to make the series attractive to a variety of drivers and sponsors. Hoosiers and American Racers will be allowed to run the series. Drivers and promoters from the region have been called; time has been spent going over the options for tires. Hoosier 1300-1350-1600 will be allowed along with the American Racer 44-48-56. For 2012 The BEAST will target teams that may not have the funding of the top notch traveling teams in the US, teams that want to stay closer to home more often. We are focusing on the teams and drivers that work hard during the week and love to play on Saturday Nights. The BEAST will still allow drivers following the series the luxury of running most other local series, and the majority of the Crown Jewel races throughout the country if they choose.

Excitement over the next two months will lead up to the Inaugural BEAST event which will be April 21st at the Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney S.C for the ‘Rock Gault Memorial’. Schedule to be release in the next 7 days.
