Just wondering where everybody mounts their regulators. I'm thinking on the upper cage tube behind the rf tire. Any ideas?

My carb builder says to mount it as close to the carb as possible. I wanted to run the fuel line back to the firewall and mount it on it and he said he highly suggested not doing that.

I mount mine by the fuel log, seen them back by the firewall though. I would not put it on the head, I try to keep all my fuel items from touching heat sources, that regulator has to get extremely hot.

Thinking maybe a bracket bolted to the head that would space it out an inch or so.

Directly to the fuel log, never had a problem. Usually secure the inlet line to the radiator hose with a zip tie and something to insulate it from heat. Pretty sturdy.

I think it depends on what type you have. If you have the bypass type regulator, it is usually mounted directly to the back of the fuel log.

I made my braket out of 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 alm. angle.this spaces it out from the head and lets air flow around it so it does not heat the fuel any more than running the fuel in the same place.

Our SB2.2 looks exactly plumbed as the pic, including the CV Products fuel pump, lol, except our regulator is right off the fuel log
