A-hobby car with a 3-link (solid top link). When the track blacks over or dries out I can't seem to keep it hooked up. 1350's on the front, 1600's on the rear for tires.

What can I do to make it hook up better? I've tried to back off my entry by letting off the throttle earlier and rolling it in (no brakes) but I can't get full throttle going down the straight without breaking loose. I've tried to be easy on the throttle but it isn't working.

What can I do to make it hook up better with my current setup.

Give more info about your car, springs, shocks, panhard bar or j-bar, what height is it ? Tire pressure, length of rear lower arms and angle ?

Do you have scale numbers on the car? Why different compounds?

The different compounds are because the track decided to open up the front tires but not the back. I'll PM the details later today.

A softer rear spring is a good thing for dry slick tracks. You may want to check your throttle! You should have four inches of travel on the gas pedal till full throttle. Any more and you cant get into it fast enough. Any less and you are just an on and off switch! Its all about bieng smooth on the slick! I never get past 3/4 throttle on the slick! You give the tires what they can handle and nothing more!!! Good luck!
