I got my car running today with a bert trans and was surprised how much faster the engine revs up compared to a saginaw with a clutch. Should have changed it years ago.

Bert, not birt FYI It has a small internal clutch that only spins when you are pressing on the pedal..
which bert tranny is it because i have saginaw tranny and thinking about a upgrade

We have ran both and i like the shifting of the Brinn better, just IMO...That are closer to the length of a muncie/saginaw also..

I'll be changing from a powerglide (with convertor) to a falcon here in the next month or so and I have a feeling the change is going to be mind boggling.
