Kevin Cole Climbs to Fourth in Lucky 40; Diverse Schedules for #81 Teams Ahead

(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) With inclement weather striking throughout the region this past weekend, Kevin Cole was the lone Riggs Motorsports driver to venture out and compete in a Dirt Late Model event. The #81c team invaded the Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois on Saturday night, March 24 for the $1,500 to win 'Lucky 40.' Kevin finished third in his loaded heat race, which earned him the rights to the ninth starting spot in the 40-lap feature event. The Christopher, Illinois native then worked his way past five competitors during the A-Main to score a fourth place effort behind only winner Brandon Sheppard, Kevin Weaver, and Michael Kloos. Full results from Highland can be located online at www.highlandspeedway.com.

Following the strong run in the ‘Lucky 40,’ Kevin will turn his focus to the season opener at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky on Friday evening, March 30. Teammate Jason Riggs will join Kevin at PIR for the weekly show on Friday, while Jason will also race on Saturday, March 31 at the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee. Scott James will also return to dirt-slinging action this weekend, as he will venture to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky for a $2,000 to win, unsanctioned program.
