Daniel Baggerly Claims Twelfth Place Finish in Season Opener; Readies for Lawndale
(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) Daniel Baggerly and the #16 B&B Motorsports team were scheduled to kick-off their 2012 racing season on March 30-31 with a pair of Ultimate Super Late Model Series showdowns in the Peach State of Georgia. However, Friday's event at the Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia was washed out due to persistent rain showers and Saturday's program at the North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia was also threatened by Mother Nature, but eventually got into the record books.
Daniel timed in twelfth fastest during qualifying and later ran third in his consolation race to advance into the $4,000 to win A-Main. The Rural Retreat, Virginia college student fought a tight racecar throughout the feature, but soldiered on to claim a respectable twelfth place finish in his season opener. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will take the B&B Motorsports team to the Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, North Carolina this Friday evening, April 6. The rain-postponed event will pay $4,000 to the winner. Daniel then plans to take Saturday, April 7 off from Dirt Late Model competition, as the family has Easter plans out of town.
