(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Wendell Wallace Autosports team invaded the states of Mississippi and Texas over the March 30-31 weekend for a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles. On Friday night, the Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, Mississippi played host to the 'Southern 50.' Wendell Wallace ran a strong second in his heat race to earn the inside third row starting spot for the 50-lap main event. The Batesville, Arkansas standout made his way up to third in the A-Main before sliding back to finish fifth in the final rundown behind only winner Don O'Neal, Jimmy Owens, Tyler Red(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word), and Jared Landers.

On Saturday evening, the dirt-slinging action quickly shifted to the Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas for the $10,000 to win 'High Banks Havoc.' Wendell grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race and later rolled off starting sixteenth in the 50-lap feature event. The popular driver known as the "Batesville Bullet" wound up retiring early in the A-Main and settled for a twenty-first place performance.
