With Mother Nature taking the first four races of the year, she appears to be sparing tonight. With racers and racing fans needing to hear the sounds and smell of high power race engines Boyds Speedway hosts the Prelude to the Shamrock 40 tonight. With a host of Super Late Models traveling south for the weekends double events at Boyds and Cleveland Speedways a full house is expected. The Super Late Models will compete for 40 laps to determine who will take home the $3000 to win, but in action will also be the Crate Late Models racing for $1200 to win. A-Hobby will compete for 15 laps for $500 to win along with B-Hobby's $300 to win. Completing the show will see the Front Wheel Drive racers race around the 3/8's mile track for $250 to win. Gates open at 4 pm with racing getting underway at 6:30. Hope everyone is as ready as I to finally get back to racing at one of the South's Finest Racing Facilities. Come early get your favorite seat, but remember your promised to be on your way home by 11:00. Plenty of time to see racing on this Special Easter Weekend.
