TEENAGER GRAYSON YORK RULES ROAD TO SHAMROCK CRATE's @ BOYD's

Chattanooga, TN (4/6/12) --- Sixteen year-old Grayson York of Rocky Face, GA, hung tough Friday night at Boyd's Speedway's "Road to the ShamRock" Crate Late Model special event, racing reigning track champion Craig Burrows and the "Dirtiest Player in the Game" Anthony White, winning the $1,200 first place prize. York in his #7 "Al's Used Cars, Bob's Towing & Recovery, Golfcarts of Dalton, Rocan, Carpet Discount Center, Genesis Racing Shocks" sponsored Warrior / Racetek 604 GM Performance racecar started 7th in feature after finishing 3rd in the his heat and quickly found himself solidly in the Top-5 at the start of the feature. A stout battle against Burrows for the runner-up spot, kept York married to the bottom of the racetrack, until the halfway point. After a lap 12 restart now behind leader White, the NW High School 10th grader wasted no time, putting his machine in the lead off turn two for good, to earn his visit to JODY MILLARD PEST CONTROL Victory Lane. York thanked his crew chiefs Griffin Kinsey and Josh Woolum for setting up the racecar in a phone interview after the races. Full results of the race were not available at presstime.
