When we ran our first big flat 1/2 mile, Calistoga, we ran a 5.63 @ 8400...hope this gives you an idea...It has long straights and tight turns...kinda like a Williams Grove deal

we run anywhere from a 525 to a 575 on the sedalia 1/2 mile. it depends what grove you are going to run and size of motor.

I don't know this track at all, I'd guess around 5:40.
I'd flat out just ask two or three of the regulars there, or start on the conservative side.
Lap times if available from my laps would be helpful.

I run mid to low 5's there. I do not know why you would want to add oil, of you add too much and the crank hits it then it can foam and lead to more problems. Btw, I am assuming these are ULMA wet sump motors for next weekend.

Track will not have much prep, for the fair race last year they scrapped off the grass the morning of. Sedalia is a FUN track, flat half mile with lots of sand. Since very little track prep do to be surprised if it goes one lane. Bring the biggest gun you got if you have two, Sedalia is a track that can take motor.

Jed, the problem is no real regulars, they only run once or twice a year with any class. Also these are the limited lates, which have not ran on for years, it's only been MLRA. You might call bodee or Kevin coyne they may have some info from old notes.

I've run a 5.55 and a 5.70, the 55 with more motor and the 70 with less, about 7600 both times.
