REIGNING CHAMPION JASON WELSHAN SCORES BOYD's CRATE VICTORY

Chattanooga, TN (4/13/12) --- The reigning Boyd's Speedway Crate Late Model track champion Jason Welshan of Maryville, Tennessee got his second win of the season Friday night at the Tennessee/Georgia stateline dirt track. Running the gauntlet in heat #2 the Hidden Hollow Motorsports #29 "B&M Concrete, Competition Racing Equipment, Ronald Sexton Construction, Centerline Construction, Bearden Oil, Hicks & Law Insurance, Jon's Golfcarts, Smith's Auto Repair, Schenfeld Headers, Stealth Racing Carburators, Outlaw Graphix" sponsored MasterSbilt / Bill Bunch powered Cindy & Roger Kerr, Gary Rofle owned racecar started 11th only to take the lead from former champion Craig Burrows to earn the outside FRONT ROW JOE starting position for the 20-lap feature. "I tweaked the car this week after Crossville's win last Saturday" stated Welshan "and found some small stuff that needed to be changed, that made all the difference at Boyd's last night." Welshan and Robby Mason raced to the features green flag, but from the "cat-birds seat" Welshan was unstoppable. Youngster Grayson York came into second while Mason held of to third. The team's decided to head to Cleveland (TN) Speedway Saturday (4/14) for their first regular race of the season.
