Vic Hill sat on the pole and dominated the 50-lap Southern All-Stars race at Smoky Mountain Speedway. Hill had a full straightaway lead on second place Billy Ogle Jr. at one point in the race. Ogle and Randy Weaver got into a good battle for second in the final few laps. Weaver took the spot, but Ogle fought back and reclaimed 2nd with two laps to go. Weaver broke coming to the checkered flag. The top 5 were Hill, Ogle, Tommy Kerr, Ray Cook, and Mark Douglas.
