Two Wins In A Row For Adam Martin
April 14, 2012 (Eastaboga, AL) – Big night at Talladega Short Track. Finally, the weather pattern of rain has broken in central Alabama for two weeks in a row. Crowds converged on the tracks Grandstand gates and Pit gates, ready for a big night of Dirt Track Racing Southern Style. Ross Martin was “Quick Time” with a 13.613 qualifying time. Ross Martin drew a number six for the inversion for the feature race. Adam Martin found himself as the pole sitter for the feature event of the Kilpatrick Chevrolet Super Late Model division. Martin dominated the entire event. Ross Martin started on the third row outside and worked his way up to the third place position when the checker flag came out for this thirty-lap event. Todd Watson of Childersburg, Alabama took home the second place winnings.
Chris Noah of the Crate Late Model division took home the 1st place winnings, 2nd place, Ryan King and 3rd place Kyle Maye.
Joe Noojin took home the 1st place winnings for the 2nd week in a row in the Sportsman division, Adam Cummings 2nd place and Chris Blackburn 3rd place.
The Open Wheel Modified division returned to Talladega Short Track after taking off a few weeks. Lakeetha Skinner took home the 1st place winnings, 2nd place went to Josh Trammell and 3rd place to Rusty Duncan.
Scott Magourik took home the 1st place winnings two weeks in a row in the 92.7 FM Thunder Car division, 2nd place to Chris Yarbrough and 3rd place goes to Tony Gray.
Andy Davis wins the 1st place position in the Farmers Insurance Street Stocks, 2nd place; Nick Deweese and 3rd place goes to Russell Chapman.
An early birthday present is earned by Brent Gowers in the Dorsey’s Supermarket Hot Shots Trophy Dash. Gowers came back in the feature event and took home the 1st place winnings, 2nd Chase McAvoy and 3rd place, Clay Gillilan.
