Tim Taylor Takes Top Honors at Lake Cumberland Speedway

Burnside, KY-April 14, 2012- Lake Cumberland Speedway would present its third racing event of the 2012 racing season on Saturday evening and feature event winners would include Tim Taylor of Science Hill, KY in Super Late Models, Scotty Kincaid of Rising Sun, IN in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stock/Sportsman, and Curry in Front Wheel Drives.

Tim Taylor would take his first Super Late Model victory of the season as the former track champion would take the checkered flag first in the 25 lap Super Late Model main event. Steve Elliott would take runner-up honors, with Donnie Everman claiming third. Joe King and Wesley Ball would complete the top five. Rounding out the top ten would be Shelby Johnson, Steve Stollings, Chris Notchie, Nic Claborn, and Dennis Barton. Danny Hatcher would be the top qualifier among 12 entries at 13.900 and would win a heat, while Chris Streeval would score the other heat.

The Modified feature would see Hoosier State native Scotty Kincaid take the feature event win in the 20 lap main event for the open-wheel division. Chris Johnson would finish second, with Cameron Marlar claiming a third place finish. Virgil Parriman and John Smith completed the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Glen Hounshell, Jr., Jeff Richards, Joey Pyles, Mike Petrey, and Danny Terry. Kincaid would be the top qualifier among 13 entries and would win a heat, while Johnson scored a heat win as well.

The 15 lap Super Dirt Stock/Sportsman feature event would be a repeat of the first two nights of racing in the division as Keith Decker would score his third straight feature event win in the class. Defending track champion Tim McMullin would finish second, with Scott Hutchinson, James Bryd, and Roy Petrey completing the top five. Decker was also top qualifier in the division and would also win the heat.
