A-Modifieds Big 8 Racing Series Presented by Fikes Truck Line
The partnership of the Cedar County Raceway (Al & Kathy Dlouhy) and the Quad City Speedway (K & S Promotions) is proud to announce that Fikes Truck Line has become the new title sponsor for the new A-Modified series, the Big 8 Racing Series presented by Fikes Truck Line. The eight race series will pit the best of the best from the Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa, versus the cream of the crop from the Quad City Speedway in East Moline, Illinois. General track rules will apply. Hoosier G-60’s and American Racer tires allowed. Also as an added bonus, Fikes Truck Line representatives will be on hand at all Big 8 Racing Series races seeking qualified applicants to become full-time truck drivers.
How the series works:
- A driver races a night on a specified Big 8 Racing Series date whether it is at the Quad City Speedway or at the Cedar County Raceway.
- The driver returns to race at the very next specified Big 8 Racing Series date whether it is at the Quad City Speedway or at the Cedar County Raceway and the driver receives one free pit pass and two free grandstand tickets.
- Each Big 8 Racing Series will be $700 to win for eligible drivers and $600 to win for non-eligible drivers.
- After first place regular weekly payout apply.
- In races #2 through #8 if an ineligible driver wins, the highest finishing Big 8 Racing Series eligible driver will receive an extra $50 and the next two highest finishing eligible drivers will receive $25 each.
- A driver must have raced the previous Big 8 Racing Series race to be eligible for the extra money.
- If a driver races in the first 5 out of 6 Big 8 Racing Series races they will be eligible for $1,000 to win at the final two Big 8 Racing Series races.
- All drivers are eligible for the $700 to win at the first Big 8 Racing Series race on 4/22/12 at the Quad City Speedway.
