Believe it or not, I would like to harden (not soften) a tire.
Without the use of chemicals...
Has anybody had any luck doing this? I thought about just soaking in cold water overnight. Not sure if that would work or not.

Long story short, we are allowed two tires. One that is too soft come feature time and the other that is too hard and won't hardly get working in a 20 lap feature...especially if there are cautions.
So I'm looking to harden the softer of the two tires.

Get it muddy and leave it outside somewhere that gets sun but leave it out all the time, should make it harden up .

All you have to do is heat cycle them a number of times. leaving them in the tire rack of an open trailer for a couple of weeks is a tried and true way.

Works for me....even when I don't want it to.

Get it hot and then icewater it down. We had to do it to the Good Years we had to run in some events at some tracks. You are just quickening the heat cycle process.
