Richmond Raceway Kicks Off 2012 Season with Test & Tune THIS Saturday, April 28!
RICHMOND, KY (April 24, 2012)-Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are excited to get the 2012 season started with a Test & Tune session this Saturday, April 28.
Gates open at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 28 with testing set to begin shortly after. The grandstand area will be open with FREE admission to those fans looking for a sneak peek into what promises to be an action packed 2012 season. Pit admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12. Kids under age 6 are admitted FREE to Richmond Raceway.
Fans and drivers are encouraged to attend the April 28 Test & Tune to check out all the off season improvements that have been made. “We’ve made more changes during the off season this year than we have in the past two years,” said track promoter Joey Tackett.
The 2012 racing season will officially get underway on Saturday, May 5 when Mayhem Motorsports Night pays $800 to win in the Open Wheel Modified division. Also on the racing card that evening is the Sportsman, Road Hogs, and Four Cylinders. Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models are welcome for practice.
A full program of racing in all divisions is on tap with Mothers and Others Night on Saturday, May 12. The Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman, Road Hogs, and Four Cylinders will all be in action that night.
