Conley’s Strong at Southern Ohio Speedway; Prepare for Upcoming Southern 50

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams were out in full force on Friday evening, April 20 at the nearby Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Rod Conley wound up posting the best finish of the night, as he ran fourth in the dash prior to notching a third place performance in the $2,000 to win A-Main behind only winner Josh McGuire and runner-up Eddie Carrier, Jr. R.J. Conley finished second in the dash, but fell back to the fourth spot in the feature to wind up behind his brother. The patriarch of the racing Conley family, Delmas Conley, was involved in a tangle during the main event and was credited with a ninth place effort.

On Saturday, April 21, Rod and his #71r team ventured to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky for another $2,000 to win showdown. Rod ran fourth in heat race action to advance into the 35-lap A-Main. Due to the ultra-rough track conditions, "Hot Rod" opted to pull his Rocket Chassis into the infield early in the feature and retired in the fourteenth position. Complete results from both Southern Ohio Speedway and Florence Speedway can be viewed by clicking on www.southernohiospeedway.com and www.florencespeedway.com.

All three Conley’s are slated to return to the nearby Southern Ohio Speedway on Friday night, April 27 for the 2nd Annual ‘Southern 50.’ The unsanctioned, one-day show will pay $6,000 to the winner. If all goes well on Friday, Rod Conley also plans to travel to the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia on Saturday evening for the $4,000 to win ‘Topless 50.’ Additional information on both of these venues can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.southernohiospeedway.com and www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com.
