Hesston Speedway Announces Details of $200K Speedmonster Super Series & $5,000 Point Fund!

(Hesston, PA) Hesston Speedway has established a prime series for Super Late Models in 2012 with the Speedmonster Super Series. While Speedmonster events will be exclusively at Hesston in 2012, it will be a true Super Late Model series with a point system, season-end point fund and provisional starting positions! The 5 Speedmonster mega-events will pay out over $200,000 to all divisions with over $135,000 being allocated to the Super Late Models! A season end points bonus for the Super Late Models will give drivers a fantastic opportunity to earn additional point money on top of the point payoffs of the other participating series at Hesston.

With a payoff increase of the “Eriksen Grand Prix” in August, 4 of the Speedmonster Super Series events will now pay $5,100 to win and $400 to start for the S³ Super Late Models, with the grand finale paying $12,555 total to win at “The Ultimate” in October. 4 events will be co-sanctioned with the 3 State Flyers and 2 events will be co-sanctioned with the United Late Model Series.

The Speedmonster Super Series will carry a $5,000 point fund based on 6 completed races. The 2012 champion will receive $2,000 with 2nd receiving $1,000. 3rd to 6th will receive $500 each. Since the series is comprised of only 6 nights at 5 events, perfect attendance is required for point fund eligibility. The 2012 point fund is sponsored by American Racer, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, Precise Racing Supply and Lias Tire.

With Speedmonster and 3 State Flyers having no scheduling conflicts in 2012, race teams may now compete for BOTH the $3,000 to win 3 State Flyers Niningers Tire & Auto championship and the $2,000 to win Speedmonster Hoosier/American Racer/Lias/Precise Racing championship! This provides a huge bonus to area race teams supporting those events.

Beginning with the 2nd event, 1 provisional starting position will be available for Speedmonster competitors with perfect attendance. The highest finishing driver with perfect attendance in the consolation that did not qualify for the feature will be awarded the starting position in the feature.

Speedmonster events will feature the same high-quality racing format that Hesston utilized in 2011 on the very racey surface. Track and procedure rules have been posted to the track website. Strong event payoffs, limited events, and the season-end point bonus fund make this a prime series for the Super Late Model teams of the region to attend. Promoter DR Eriksen has proven time and time again that when the fans and drivers support Hesston, the race teams benefit from increased payoffs.

Hesston established itself as a Super Late Model power house in 2011 with an average Super Late Model count of 40. 2011 Super Late Model winners include Jeremy Miller of Littlestown, PA, Ron Delano, Jr. of Stoystown, PA and Jeff Rine of Danville, PA.
