I set mine up so the spring just is loose on the shock when you jack it up. Do this so if/when the RR gets bite and lifts the chassis like the LR does, it won't lift off of the spring very far, and then when you lift the car doesn't free fall with no spring.

A couple guys I know are doing this, most don't really mess with the chain too much once it's set.
If it's really dry out, you could shorten the chain so there's only 1.5-2" of slack at ride height, this will hold that corner of the car down and prevent it from hiking, and tighten it up. I haven't done that part yet, might play with it this season though.

Is the purpose of the RR chain to limit lift and therefore limit the amount of bar angle which in turn limits RR drive somewhat and tightening the car?
