The Ultimate Super Late Model Series motors into County Line Raceway Friday night, May 18th for the long awaited return of Super Late Model action at the 3/8ths mile clay oval located in Elm City, North Carolina. Drivers will battle it out for 40 laps with a $4,000 payday awaiting the winner! For some time the fans at County Line Raceway dubbed “The County Line Crazies” have been asking about the return of a SLM event. Public Relations Director Steve Summerlin listened and went to work looking for a series to bring the high horsepower action back to life. He didn’t look long as the Ultimate Super Late Model Series rules package made it a perfect fit to end the 8 year absence. Summerlin states, “We wanted to bring in a series that would allow our talent laden field of Late Model drivers to compete in, The Ultimate Super Late Model Series has just that. It has been a pleasure working with Stan Lester and his team; we are very excited to host this event. We hope this will be the start of a long term relationship with County Line Raceway. I am always looking for a variety of racing for our fans, we know the stars of USLM will not disappoint! Track promoters James Upchurch and Brenda Holcombe loved the idea and here we are, days away from this great event!”

While County Line Raceway prepares to host this event, The Series regulars have a tight point’s battle going. Casey Roberts leads Casey Barrow by a mere 13 points, with Daniel Baggerly only 7 behind Barrow in 3rd. Chris Madden and Dale McDowell round out your top 5. Other drivers scheduled to appear, Zach Mitchell, Johnny Pursley, Ross Bailes and many more! You can best believe that the drivers will have their hands full with County Line’s own stars of Barnes Equipment Late Model Division . Several drivers from surrounding tracks will also be making a bid for the $4,000 payday. One of those being Fayetteville North Carolina’s Travis Yow as he makes his first trip back to County Line Raceway after taking home over $4,000.00 last November. Travis was victorious in CLR’s huge season ending event, “The Race for the Kids” Benefiting Victory Junction Gang Camp. Look for Yow to be a serious contender on the 18th.

A full night of racing is scheduled so get there early to get a great seat! Rounding out the nights action will be The Rapid Red Racing Supply Thunder & Lightning, Nashville Feed Super Stock 4 and the ARCO Restoration Pure Stock 4. Spectator gates open at 5pm. Pit gates open at 4pm. Tickets prices are $20 for 16 and up, ages 11-15 $5.00, 10 and under free. Pit passes $30.00, 10 and under $10.00.
