what would putting a 2/9 shock in front of the left rear do?
also on the left rear does any1 know the new standard for running on the left side as in running the spring in front or back and double shock?
i run a high bank 1/4 mile clay

2 compression/9 rebound is the exact opposite of what you want.

Normal base line set ups are something along these lines.

8 comp/2 reb w/ 200 pound spring behind.

Maybe a 6/0 gas in front.

A lot of teams are running just one shock on the LR.

The valving should be in the 12/2 range.

The LRF were just breaking too often.

12/2 valving? Never heard of it...For a twin tube, I've seen the AFCO 9/3 valved shock, seen 8/2...never heard of a "12" valving...

this valving is offered in the new afco silver series shocks on rebound as well as custom pro shocks. im still at a 6-0 for my track and combo. these days with enough money anything is possible i guess.

Almost, all shock companies build shocks when they are ordered.

Only AFCO, PRO, etc. build shocks for "on the shelf".

Have you noticed, you cant get the valvings that most touring drivers use, off the shelf.

I got that shock for $250, from Genesis, inc. c/o kit.

Its almost a joke, what they are selling on the shelf.

No touring series cars use those valvings.

Each shock company will tell you that their valvings are different, and they are a little, but not that much.

The custom shock builders have the advantage because their shocks are on the top drivers cars. Even though they cost more, they are generally worth it, because of the feedback they get from those drivers.

The 2-9 on the lrf would help in high traction track conditions, keep the car from pushing on trottle.
