If its an oil shock which it sounds like it is, take it off or put you a dummy shock on it to protect things if something breaks. If track is rough I would leave it on to help with that if its a 4-4 car. Best of luck.

Oil will usually tighten car off throttle and hurt forward bite on slick. On a high pressure gas dampner shock it tends to let you get back into the throttle easier and tighten entry some. We don't run one anymore only if its a rough track at least this time of the year. Best of luck.
Are you running a spring or bushing pull bar? I wouldn't run on with a bushing bar but we do with a spring bar to dampen spring harmonics. We run either a 6/2 gas or a 3 twin tube.
